Dues are based on 3 components: National, Council and Pack dues. National and Council Dues are set annually by the respective entities. Pack Dues are the only item where the funds are retained by the Pack. Pack dues are used entirely for program and Cub Scout advancement purposes as well as adult leader registration fees charged by National/Council. Pack dues supplement the funds raised through popcorn sales during the year. Scouts can avoid paying the Pack Dues portion by participating in our Annual Popcorn Fundraiser.
A new Scout's National and Council Dues are paid online at time of joining for the current year. The Pack will then invoice the family for the Pack Dues if applicable.
Each Scout will go through an annual rechartering to maintain their Scouting membership based on their Scouting Anniversary and families will be notified via email when their rechartering window is open. This will either be the month they joined Scouts or December 31st for some of the older scouts. The Rechartering process can be completed online at my.scouting.org or in person at the Scout Store.
